Touch Ipod 16Gb : Best Gift For A Music Lover

Well to start off this was the 1st real X-mas present I got for and adult EVER. She saw my 1st gen touch ipod 16gb and liked it. When I upgraded to the 3rd gen touch iPod 16GB she wanted my old one. Too bad I sold it to pay for the new one. But I knew what to get for her this X-mas. I got her the 8GB I thought they were all the same.

I was wrong. They cut out a lot of the good stuff. She was happy with touch iPod 16GB but I wanted her to have all the features I did. So I told her to send it back and I had this model sent instead. This touch iPod 16GB is for the music lover that more than likely won’t utilize all the features on it but, they might want to try different apps every now and then.

So the extra memory space won’t hurt. Mainly because they are not trying to put movies, videos, or anything that takes up a lot of memory. That’s why I got her the 8GB (not because I was being cheap). Had I read more I would have known the difference. I know more than likely she won’t use for any thing but music and a few podcasts.

The fact that you can connect to Skype if you have a wifi connection, and talk like it is a phone as if you were at you PC is a great addition. You can record voice notes and memos or even set your own voice to your alarm. I know she enjoys the gym a lot so it really comes in handy. She can listen to her own music while she doing her workout or any other time. She can also play her iPod in the car, if you are not fans of radio like us it a plus.

Also you don’t have to stop what you’re doing or get distracted to change a CD, which is reason enough if you ask me. The GPS system is helpful but almost all phones come with that now, but it is there if you need it. You can still surf the net, check emails, stocks (I guess), and go to the iTunes store for upgrades music and more.

touch iPod 16GB has all the features as the first 2 models in addition to the new feature. We both agree the built-in speakers are one of the best features to they had on the 2nd and 3rd gen. It was my main reason for the upgrade. It is also easier to find what you are looking for because of the search option you have to just type in what you are looking for. It is a big help to when you don’t have to thumb through 2/3 of you library for one song.

The best feature of all comes with Apples decision to allow you to put all of your music from lime wire like site and CDs you already own. It was a period you couldn’t do that only iTunes products would sync with your iPod. Now almost anything will. The artwork from your CDs automatically add on (not bootleg that I know of) the transfer is effortless and you can pick what song you want if you don’t want to whole album.

A lot of home theater systems come with a dock station so you are able to play your music at home on a real system. Of course she doesn’t care about all that. She is real happy with touch iPod 16GB. She always finds some new feature she likes about touch iPod 16GB. And she thanks me all the time for it. So that’s 1 for 1 so far… only 2 million more gifts to go. I hope I can keep it up.

If your computer will not boot-up at all,hopefully you have made a good emergency boot disk. You can always make a windows startup disk by creating one from another computer running Windows 98 or Me.Perform the following if your computer won’t Boot-Up At All.

FIRST……Put your boot floppy disk in the floppy drive and turn on the PC.On some computers, you may have to access the bios and select the Boot priority to your A: drive.

Save any changes and select “Start Computer without CDROM support” and press Enter.Once you are at the A prompt,type dir c: and press enter.

If your programs and other files are present,try restoring your system Registry by following the steps below.This may repair Windows,the Config. Sys and autoexec.bat files to where the PC may boot up normally.When the files are present,its a good indication of a good hard drive.

SECOND……To correct the problem of your computer not booting up,type in “fdisk /mbr” and press Enter to restore your master boot record.Type “Scandisk C:” to check the hard drive for errors that have occurred. You can also type “Sys C:” to hopefully restore files needed to boot up your computer.

THIRD……If the above procedures fail to repair your computer,you can repeat the first part of step one above and select “Start Computer With CDROM Support” re-install Windows.

Making A Windows XP Bootable Floppy

Windows XP users should create a boot disk now by placing a formatted blank diskette in the A: drive, open Windows Explorer to the C:,select Tools,Folder Options ,show Hidden files and and folders,then View Tab.

Now you uncheck “Hide Protected Operating System Files (recommended).You will see a warning and click Yes and click OK.Copy the files ntldr,ntdetect.com and boot.ini onto the disk.Remove the disk and label it the Windows XP Boot Disk.

After making your boot disk,recheck “Hide protected operating system files and folders (recommended)” in the Folder Options dialog box.

To use the disk when Windows XP won’t boot,place the disk in the drive,and then re-boot,the computer, Windows simply bypass the basic boot files on the hard drive and continue to boot up.

If The PC Won’t Boot Pass Windows

FIRST……If your Operating System is Windows Millennium,turn on the computer and immediately press and hold down the CTRL key.Once the startup options appear,release the CTRL key. Select Safe Mode and press Enter.You are now in Windows limited version.If you know what caused your computer not to boot,you can now either change or delete that program.

SECOND….Repair your Registry by selecting Start,Run and typing “scanregw /fix” and press enter.This will fix any damage done to the Registry. You can also restore your registry which replaces your current registry with an earlier copy that was backed up by your computer.Click on Start,Run and type “scanregw /restore and press Enter.

To repair your Windows 98 Registry,hold down the CTRL key as you start the PC and select “Command Prompt Only”.Type “scanreg /fix” and press Enter and “scanreg/restore” to restore a previousely saved copy of the Registry.

If you have Windows XP,press F8 after rebooting the PC should Windows freeze while booting up. You can select “Last Known Good Configuration” after rebooting to allow the computer to boot the last backed up files.And you can choose “Safe Mode” to remove any files you know caused the operating system to hang up.

Be prepared when your operating system fail. It would be a great idea to go over this article a few times and print it.Make yourself s notebook and place this and all related articles there.

It will use whatever format the song was originally in. So if it came from the iTunes Store, that would be the protected AAC.

If you want to convert these AAC files, put them on a playlist and burn to MP3 or Audio CD.

About two weeks ago I had it, and was ready to get ride of all unwanted duplicates in my iTunes!

So I went to google and I typed in “duplicate removal iTunes“. I looked around for a little bit until I found something that looked promising for duplicate removal from iTunes.So I clicked on a page, and I began to read about how someone wanted me to go to “File” when I was in iTunes. Then they wanted me to click the “Show duplicates” button in “File” and remove all of the duplicates from my iTunes manually! I couldn’t believe it, I guess this person has all day long to do this or something, but I don’t!

So I started looking around again, and I found a site on google that said Duplicate Removal iTunes automatically!

Now, that is what I am talking about! That sounded great to me, a program that automatically removes the duplicates for me! That is great, then I don’t have to waste time clicking every duplicate I want to be gone.

I know, this question has probably been asked about a hundred times by now, but I’ve tried to figure it out on my own and its just not working. I read the intstruction manual, just letting you know to avoid smart answers, it simply said to read the on screen instructions, however, there are no on screen instructions. Also, clicking file and then update songs does not work, nor does dragging the songs from the library to my ipod icon. So I need some help, I’ve transferred songs from itunes to my ipod on a different computer before but it doesn’t seem to be working for me anymore. Any advice or methods on how to get the music on there would be appreciated.
