How to combine video files in Windows Movie Maker?

When importing a video into Windows Movie Maker, you may find that the video is automatically split into several movie clips. Why this happens? Windows Movie Maker does this just to allow beginners to add effects and transitions to the video. If we don’t need to add effects, is there any way to combine them back into one? Yes, you can prevent the video splitting by following the steps:
1. Open Windows Movie Maker
2. Click File > Import into Collections or (Cntrl + I)
3. A dialog box appears which allows you to import videos. On the bottom left side of the dialog box, there is the import options
4. You will find a check box says “Create clips for Video files”
5. Just uncheck the check box(remove the tick mark)

How to combine video clips in Windows Movie Maker?
1. Import video file into Windows Movie Maker.
2. Drag and drop video clips into Timeline frame.
3. Using CTRL to select two or more clips and then click Clip in the upper bar. In the drop down menu, select Combine.

Tip: This seems to only work for video clips that were previously one piece and you have to only combine contiguous clips. If you want combine different video files to a single one, turn to iOrgSoft Video Converter by ticking “Merge into one file” option.

4. When finish working on a project, you can save the movie with .wmv extension by click File->Save Movie File->My computer->Enter a name and choose a save path->Movie Setting, finally save the movie.

Why is Quicktime on my pc? I don’t want it on my pc…?

I didn’t specifically install Quicktime. Now I see “Configure Quicktime Codecs” on my start menu (Windows Vista) I don’t want Quicktime because I have other software that plays all of my media files. I don’t want Quicktime interfering with anything. It’s not listed anywhere under Control Panel Programs and Features. How do I get rid of it?

If you have Quicktime it will be in Programs.

It may be that you only have some codecs to convert Quicktime files for other players.

You can delete the item from your Start Menu if you want. Just right click on it for options.

Why aren’t m4v video formats not working on my iPhone?

I have a 32 gb iPhone 3G S and with all this extra space I thought I could put on all my movies that are on my computer. This is not so. There is only one that will go on my phone. It is an MPEG-4 video file, it’s 2.99 gb, the dimensions are 998 x 436, codecs are MPEG-4 Video, AAC, and Text. The movie goes for 1:56:37 and the total bit rate is 3669. That is the only working movie. All the others range in all of these aspects but all are m4v files, so I don’t understand why in the iTunes video pane under the iPhone device information all the other movies are greyed out and when I try and sync the greyed out ones it says there was an error or something. Help please, also I’ve tried changing the files to MOV, mp4 and all other possible with no luck.
